We had a very miserable night next to a nightclub in Piraeus but at least we have our negative pcr-test to board the ferry. As one does, we hire a scooter to explore the island. In the afternoon we go to Mandrakia beach, Papafragkas and for sunset to the white volcanic landscape of Sarakiniko beach.
We start our second day at the sandy beach of Paralia Paleochori. A challenge for two people who don't like the beach, but not a bad place to read my book on Greek mythology and catch up on some sleep.
In the afternoon we drive to the village of Plaka and stroll around with a view over the rippled seasurface. In the evening we go to Klima where our presence ruins the pictures of wannabe influencers in long flowing dresses. We pick up our luggage in the evening and board the night ferry back to Athens.
