Busan

3 days

It takes us a while to recover from the brutal ferry ride from Fukuoka to Busan. 6 hours of rocking up and down takes a toll on our bodies, though we are very excited to set foot in South Korea for the first time.

We miss out on Gukje market and other landmarks, but we put the little energy we have into finding the best food. Typical Busan dishes we eat are dwaeji gukbak in the eponymous street and milmyeon. We imitate how locals pile banshan on their spoons.

Koreans love their home decor and beautiful interiors which we immediately see in the area east of Centum metro station. There are more tastefully decorated cafes than we have days in South Korea. Luckily for us, only a handful are open on Tuesday so that limits our decision fatigue. One of the owners recently went to Belgium on a buying trip for his vintage furniture store.
