Seoul

10 days

It is snowy on the first of our ten days in Seoul. We cozy up in the beautiful cafes and well-designed shops that Seoul has in abundance. As a true tourist in South Korea I also go for a skin analysis and microneedling in a tasteless but popular pink beauty salon. The only positive thing about this is that my skin age is four years younger. But from then on I struggle with acne.

We truly embrace the winter spirit. On Christmas Eve we go to the independant EMU cinema to watch a rerun of The Grand Budapest Hotel. We spend a day skiing in the nearby Elysian ski resort.

We meet my brother's Korean friends for barbeque and somaek with dried fish. They even let us stay at their home for two nights. With a lot of new friends and our backpacks full of souvenirs we leave South Korea.
